42 years ago today (3/20/76), the late Chester Bennington was born. Bennington served as lead singer for  Linkin Park, Dead by Sunrise, Grey Daze, and Stone Temple Pilots. However it was his work as lead singer of Linkin Park that made Bennington a true rock star as the band topped the hard rock charts routinely behind albums Hybrid Theory and Meteora. Bennington died of an apparent suicide by hanging at his home in Palos Verdes Estates, California on July 20, 2017. Watch the band perform at the height of their success from the Live in Texas DVD.
