National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme launched in New Delhi on World Hepatitis DayHealth Minister JP Nadda today said there is a paradigm shift in formulation of Viral Hepatitis Control Program under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said government has a bottoms-up approach with active participation of stakeholders from the states and the field, making it comprehensive in its framework. He was speaking at the launch of National Viral Hepatitis Control Program in New Delhi on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day. The Minister said the National Viral Hepatitis Control Program will provide laboratory testing and management of viral Hepatitis which will be decentralized and scaled up to Health and Wellness Centres in a phased manner. Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel said the National Viral Hepatitis Control Program marks the nation's journey to eliminate Viral Hepatitis by 2030. She said this program will benefit about five crore people. On the occasion, a commemorative stamp for the National Viral Hepatitis Control Program was also launched to create awareness among the masses regarding the issue. |
