(KUTV) -- A mother of six from California took to Twitter to express her views on unplanned pregnancies, and the rant has gone viral, the Daily Mail reported
"I have a good understanding of arguments surrounding abortion, religious and otherwise," Blair wrote to begin the Twitter thread. "I've been listening to men grandstand about women's reproductive rights, and I'm convinced men actually have zero interest in stopping abortion. Here's why..."
Gabrielle Blair, a Latter-day Saint from Oakland, stated that all unplanned pregnancies are a mans fault, every single time, no matter the circumstances.
She wrote: "Perhaps you are thinking: it takes two! And yes, it does take two for intentional pregnancies. But all unwanted pregnancies are caused by the irresponsible ejaculations of men. Period."
Blair defended her argument by stating that women can only get pregnant two days out of each month, or 24 days a year, but men can cause pregnancy 365 days a year.
The comments on her thread were divided. Some users praised her for her arguments, while others said that she ignored the fact that women are also responsible for knowingly choosing to have unprotected sex, the Daily Mail reported.
The opposing argument, however, did not persuade Blair to back down.
Modern birth control is possibly the greatest invention of the last century, and I am very grateful for it. It’s also brutal. The side effects for many women are ridiculously harmful. So ridiculous, that when an oral contraception for men was created, it wasn’t approved…
Blair, who runs a popular blog called Design Mom, then reasoned that men who refuse to wear condoms are putting their sexual pleasure before a woman's quality of life, stating that pregnancies are physically demanding and childbirth is dangerous, the Daily Mail reported.
She wrote: "Stop protesting at clinics. Stop shaming women. Stop trying to overturn abortion laws. If you actually care about reducing or eliminating the number of abortions in our country, simply HOLD MEN RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS."
"If you want to stop abortion, you need to prevent unwanted pregnancies,' she continued. 'And men are 100% responsible for unwanted pregnancies. No for real, they are."
"Let's talk more about responsibility. Men often don't know, and don't ask, and don't think to ask, if they've caused a pregnancy. They may never think of it, or associate sex with making babies at all. Why? Because there are 0 consequences for men who cause unwanted pregnancies."
Blair ended the thread with the following statement:
"Men mostly run our government. Men mostly make the laws. And men could eliminate abortions in 3 months or less without ever touching an abortion law or evening mentioning women. In summary: STOP TRYING TO CONTROL WOMEN'S BODIES AND SEXUALITY. UNWANTED PREGNANCIES ARE CAUSED BY MEN. The end."
