The latest take on the classic, released a few days ago, is Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s version of William A. Wellman’s classic. American actor Cooper’s directorial debut, which received a standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival, follows Gaga as Ally, a young singer and a failing country star. A story that echoes the true story behind Stefani Germanotta’s rise to fame and her transformation into Lady Gaga. Gaga proved her acting chops in American Horror Story, for which she won a Golden Globe, now, the film is being widely talked about at as Oscar contender. Whether it will be nominated remains to be seen…
