Rochelle Humes is close to tears as filmmaker behind heartbreaking £50 viral Christmas ad gushes about his girlfriend of ten-years on This Morning

She has stepped in to co-host This Morning while Holly Willoughby is in Australia.

And Rochelle Humes struggled to contain her emotions on Monday's show after a filmmaker behind the viral tear-jerking Christmas advert gushed about his partner of ten-years.

The video, made for just £50, has rivaled John Lewis' £7million advert, with fans calling on the department store to hire Phil Beastall for their festive creation next year.

And it wasn't long until Rochelle, 29, was brought to tears as filmmaker Phil spoke of his love for his girlfriend, Claire.

He said: 'I was desperate to make Christmas movie. I went on run got the idea and told my partner, two days later we were filming it.

'What I've been saying is we're not refined by our careers. I’m really fortunate I have got an amazing partner, Claire, I have been with her for 10 years.

'She has showed me a world of magic I never knew existed, I devoted it to her. A career means nothing, as long as you’ve got family and love at this time of year, it's all that matters.'

As The Saturday's singer eyes began to water, fellow host Phillip Schofield compared him to a young Harry Redknapp due to his moving speech.

The short fictional tale has racked up more than 5million views on Facebook this week after the Gloucestershire creator posted it in response to the John Lewis' big-budget production.

The 32-year-old's video, entitled Love is a Gift, shows a man - played by actor Chris Ilston - ticking off the days to Christmas, seemingly in anticipation of festivities and presents.

Instead, on the day, he opens up a cassette box - an annual tradition - and listens to a tape of his tragic mother's final Christmas message from beyond the grave.

Clearly impressed, Phil commended the filmmaker's efforts by saying: 'Will you do ours next year?' as he wrote a mock-up contract on his notepad.

Rochelle's appearance on the daytime stalwart comes after she took to the red carpet with husband Marvin as they co-hosted the BAFTA Children's Awards at the Roundhouse on Sunday.

The couple looked equally stylish as they hit the red carpet, with both suiting up in smart blazers and tailored trousers.

Former pop stars Marvin and Rochelle tied the knot at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire in 2012, and have daughters Alaia-Mai, five, and Valentina Raine, 19 months, together.
