The Florida Highway Patrol trooper, whose scary ordeal went viral, will talk to reporters on Friday.
CBS12 crews captured the exclusive video showing an out-of-control car hitting trooper Mithil Patel on I-95 near Hobe Sound Monday morning.
Seconds before getting hit, Patel shoved a grandfather from Port St. Lucie out of the way of the spinning car, potentially saving his life.
CBS12's Erin MacPherson spoke to Patel and his wife off-camera on Wednesday, the day after he left St. Mary's Medical Center. Patel said he's extremely sore but doing better. He wanted to thank the community for their prayers. His wife called it a miracle that he didn't break any bones.
The news conference is set for 11 a.m. We will stream it live on cbs12.com. Download the CBS12 News App to watch.
