EdNews video goes viral after YouTube glitch - Idaho EdNews

YouTube: ‘Something weird is up.’

That’s what we said, too, on Monday morning when our three-year-old video earned over 1 million views in 48 hours.

YouTube recommended our video to users worldwide, somewhat accidentally. YouTube fixed the issue by Tuesday, but people today are still watching our video with nearly 4,000 views coming in every hour.

The video is certainly worth watching — it features an adorable 6-year-old on his first day of school. (Get the tissue).

We certainly welcome the attention, it was just unexpected.

And check this out:

  • People are watching from around the world, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and the United Arab Emirates.
  • The top watchers in the United States include California, Texas, New York, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Haven’t seen it yet? Be part of the trend, and watch Tripp’s first-day-of-school adventure at North Star Charter School.
