Three black men in Williston go viral for good deed - WCJB

WILLISTON, Fla., (WCJB) --- A video gone viral showing three black men helping an elderly couple happens to have been shot in Levy County. The video was shot by a retired sheriff's deputy and the men said that they were happy to be shown in a positive light.

In Williston, three young black men went viral in a video that showed them helping an elderly white couple.

A marathon gas station employee noticed the couple first as they entered the gas station that day, helping them too.

The elderly couple then went outside back to their car. When three black men saw the elderly man trying to help his wife get into the car, but she struggled to stand and it was then that they stepped in.

The men say they would have helped anyone despite how people may perceive them.

The good Samaritans say they were surprised by the reactions they received but that they were glad to have helped and it felt good for people to see them in a positive light.

The viral video reached millions of views and the men received national attention. But for these guys, they say it was just another day of them just being who they are.
