MISSOURI, TX (NBC) - A little doughnut shop was shown a lot of love in Missouri City Texas, after a post on social media touched many hearts.

Satharith By of Billy's Donuts went viral after his son Billy took a picture of him standing all alone during the shop's grand opening.

Billy posted the picture with a caption, "My dad is sad cause no one is coming to his new donut shop."

The tweet soared to nearly 300,000 retweets and over 600,000 likes online.

Those who saw the tweet decided to pay Satharith a visit and purchase a doughnut.

The next day Billy's Donuts had lines out the door.

Satharith says he sold out of doughnuts the very next day.
