When 19-year-old Carli Saville of Friendswood first posted photos to Twitter of her father asking for fashion advice before his date on July 6, she thought a few people might relate or find it funny.
In lighthearted post, Saville shared photos of her father Jeff modeling different outfits asking her for advice on the best option for his date that night. She captioned it, "Life with a single dad, asking for advice on date outfits my heart."
Turns out, a lot more people related to her dad's dating woes than she thought. Saville's Tweet went viral, earning more than 160,000 likes in just the five days since she posted it. The Twitterverse responded with nothing but love and support for the single father of four, calling him a "king" and saying he needed to be "protected at all costs."
"I had no idea it was going to blow up," Saville said. "People are still re-tweeting and liking it now."
Saville said she waited to tell her father about his newfound Twitter fame. The same day she made the viral post, she said her dad drove all the way from their home in Friendswood to Webster for a date but got stood up.
"He got home that night and he was really sad," Saville said. "I didn't want to make him sad and mad on the same night, so I told him the next morning."

Saville said her father was "a little embarrassed" of the post at first, but lightened up once he realized the outpouring of support from so many people it garnered.
"Once he saw how many people were relating to it he started getting really excited about it," she said.
Many young commenters offered to ask their mothers to go on dates with Jeff, while others shared similar stories about their own parents. As far as her father's love life goes now, Saville said she helped him create his own Twitter profile where he can more easily connect with future dates.
"I opened his DMs [direct messages] in Twitter so hopefully he will be getting some soon," she laughed.
Saville said her father is dedicated to his children and deserves to find the right "one."
"He wants someone who is wholeheartedly centered on the Lord and that is outgoing, funny, down to earth and sweet," Saville said. "That's what he always says when he describes who he wants to find in his soulmate."
