Wichita teacher whose yearbook dress went viral organizes free day of fun at All-Star Adventures - KWCH

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Some Wichita Public Schools students got the chance to have a little fun, thanks in part to their teacher and the community.

We first told you about Ashley Hicks in May. The kindergarten teacher wore a white dress to school on the last day and allowed her students to sign it.

Her story picked up national attention. People even sent school supplies to the Enterprise Elementary School teacher.

On Wednesday, Hicks' students enjoyed a full day of fun at All-Star Adventures - for free.

"I think it's awesome," said parent Derik Wheeler. "Throughout the year she's been an exceptional teacher one of the best ones we've seen in a long time, and it's really great that she goes above and beyond for these guys."

You can find more about Ms. Hick's dress project here.
