Footage of Prince George animatedly cheering on Aston Villa play Norwich this weekend has gone viral. The six-year-old was joined by his parents and sister Charlotte as he watched Villa win 5-1 at Carrow Road on Saturday, 5 October.
He was seen jumping up and down, clapping and enthusiastically showing his appreciation for the team, whom his father also supports. At one point in the footage, Prince William appears to be trying to calm his excitable son who became increasingly animated as the goals continued to roll in.
Aston Villa shared a video clip of George enjoying himself mid-game.
Although the young prince wasn't wearing a football shirt, he was dressed in the team's claret colours. Aston Villa manager jokingly told the BBC's Match of the Day: "I'll be getting them tickets for every game now if they need tickets because, you know, we got the result today.
"I'll even put a call in and see if I can get them on the team coach next game."
Back in 2015, when George was just under two, the Duke of Cambridge said it would be "fantastic" if his son was a Villa supporter like himself but added "it'll probably end up being that Charlotte is the Villa fan".
