The 2020 forecast is looking good for Dylan Dreyer and her new family of four! The TODAY cohost has welcomed her second son, named Oliver George Fichera, with husband Brian Fichera. Dreyer, 38, called into the third hour of TODAY on Friday, Jan. 3, to give an update on her bundle of joy.
“I feel good,” she told her coworkers. “I just feel so happy and so blessed.”
The TV personality shared first photos of Oliver, in addition to pictures of her 3-year-old son Calvin meeting his baby brother, which was “pure joy.” Dreyer revealed that she and Fichera really “built up the excitement” for their firstborn.
“Everything just clicked,” the mom of two said. “There was no adjustment period. This is just us. This is our family.”
Fichera took to Instagram to post a tender snapshot of himself and Dreyer with their newest addition. “Friends meet my son Oliver George born 7 lbs 2 oz 19 inches. I am overwhelmed,” the proud dad captioned the photo.

Dreyer announced in July that she was expecting her second child following a miscarriage and infertility struggles. Last April, the NBC host opened up about her struggles to conceive in honor of National Infertility Awareness Week. At the time, Dreyer admitted that she and her husband “got really lucky with Calvin.” She added, “We tried maybe one or two months.”
However, that wasn’t the case the second time around. After months of trying, Dreyer went to see her OB-GYN and had blood work done. Dreyer was told she had a “very low” egg count. “Instead of having the egg count of a 37-year-old, I’m more like mid 40s,” she explained at the time.

During her infertility journey, Dreyer also learned that her uterus was “two-thirds scarred shut” as a result of the emergency c-section she had with son Calvin. Following surgery to clear the tissue, Dreyer got pregnant, but sadly suffered a miscarriage weeks later.
“I am so blessed with the family that I have, but going through a miscarriage and not knowing what the future holds is emotional,” she said. “And I just want people to know that I’m going through it, too.”
Dreyer noted at the time that she wanted to give her son a sibling. She said, “I see Calvin with other kids and I see how loving he is. My friend just had a baby, and he held her and it’s just so sweet. And I wanna give that to him.” We’re so happy she did!
