Trail Blazers fans were eager to relive a 1990 overtime thriller.
It took the entire seven-game series and OT in Game 7, but the Trail Blazers were victorious in their 1990 NBA Western Conference Semi-Finals battle against the San Antonio Spurs with a final score of 108-105.
Rip City was talking about the 1990 Game 7 win throughout the day on social media as fans looked forward to watching this classic Memorial Coliseum game.
‘It was the most exciting game’ to attend in person from an ‘incredible series.'
one of the most incredible series' of all-time ... beyond excited to watch this one! #RipCity https://t.co/VtSkQQgPyY

Someday I'll count down my ten favorite games in Blazers history, and tonight's classic game will absolutely be on that list. It's 100% worth your time, a key moment in Blazers history. https://t.co/IrnbfHccnI

That and game 3 of 77 finals were the most exciting blazer games I’ve ever attended

Terry Porter helped the Blazers get off to a good start with Portland leading 31-24 after the first 12 minutes. He finished the first quarter with 13 points and three assists. For the game, Porter led all scorers with 36 points on 9-of-18 shooting.
The continued love for TP was highlighted on Twitter.
I love me some @terryporter30 ! #RipCity

Terry Porter would have thrived in the modern NBA.

Man, they don’t play #Basketball like they did in the #90s anymore! #ClydeDrexler #JeromeKersey @terryporter30 #RipCity #Blazermania

Watching 1990 PORvsSAS game 7. Whatever they were paying Porter it wasn't enough.

Portland trailed by seven with two minutes to play, but a comeback was spearheaded by clutch shots from Jerome Kersey and Clyde Drexler.
Kersey finished with 21 points and was his usual spark-plug-self. Rip City reminisced about the late Jerome Kersey.
Man, Jerome Kersey was built like a tank.#RipCity #TrailBlazersClassics

Many Trail Blazers fans have enjoyed the Classic Trail Blazers Games on NBCSNW because it’s like reliving their childhood.
Love seeing game 7 of the 90 Semis on @NBCSNorthwest. It's like reliving my childhood watching @terryporter30 Mercy Mercy (RIP) Duck (RIP), Petro (RIP), Danny Young, @UncleCliffy30 , Buck and Drexler! I also enjoy seeing @rod_strickland again too.

And, we can’t forget about the 1990s fans in attendance of Game 7 at Memorial Coliseum.
That place was going crazy!
There have been so many stories told about how loud it would get in the Coliseum. It was clear to see while rewatching Game 7 on television 30 years later that the MC was rocking back then.
It was an incredible experience growing up, watching, Paxson, Kikki, Clyde at the Coliseum, blasting Tom Petty when the Blazers made a run. I was their for the perfect quarter against the spurs! Awesome atmosphere!

As a dual @spurs and @trailblazers fan, seeing Rod Strickland have so much talent and basically not give a crap is still not so surprising. Was at this game 7 and it was the loudest I've heard the MC EVER!

I was there under the basket. Watching. The players were so intense. It was surreal.

I can't even explain it! My dad had "standing room only" tickets against the walls when you walk into the arena. Some of my best childhood memories. #RipCIty

It was magic, even from the old bench seats in the rafters. I loved the post game on court interviews by The Schonz. #RipCity

The crowd is really active, isn't it? That's how it was in the MC during those playoff years.

It was crazy in there. https://t.co/I0o8F6LUHh

The home team won all seven games of this Blazers-Spurs series.
Seeing the passionate Trail Blazers fans cheering for their hometown team in Game 7 proved once again how helpful it was (and still is) to have home-court advantage in Portland.
