Gilbert Estabilio
Gilbert “Bobby” Estabilio, 80, of Kapaau, died Dec. 23, 2020, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born March 12, 1940, in Hilo, he was an agriculture researcher for the State of Hawaii.
Private services held.
He is survived by sons, Dale Estabilio and Bradley (Pamela) Estabilio, all of Kohala; daughter, Teri Estabilio of Washington; sister, Sally (Pete) Magallones of Oahu, and Evelyn (Anthony) Tuttlemondo and Lori Corpuz, all of California; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Franklin Yangson
Franklin Roosevelt Yangon, 86, of Honaunau, Jan. 16, 2021, in Captain Cook. Born July 28, 1934, in Moanaloa, Molokai, he was a design mechanical engineer for Hughes Aircraft, who worked on the Apollo Space Program and for General Motors electric cars.
Services will be held at later date.
He is survived by spouse, Jane; son, Franklin Yangson Jr. of Kailua-Kona; daughter Kathryn (Michael) Barr of Los Angeles; sisters Marylyn Yangson of Kailua-Kona, and Jeanette Dacoscos of San Francisco; two grandchildren; and numerous aunties, uncles, and cousins.

Stevenson Chew
Stevenson Nigi Sing Chew, 64, of Mountain View, died Jan. 23, 2021, at his residence. Born May 31, 1956, in Kona, he was a diesel mechanic with Hawthorne Pacific for 30 years, U.S. Army veteran and member of ILWU Local 142.
Friends may call at 3 p.m. Feb. 6 for a celebration of life at Kahalu’u Beach Park in Kona.
He is survived by wife, Ann Chew of Mountain View; son, Jerome Chew of Hilo; daughters, Stefanie Brown of Oregon, Rachel Chew of Hilo, and Catherine Chew of Kona; brothers, Myron (Christine) Chew of Ka’a’awa, Oahu, Joseph Chew of Alabama, and Douglas Chew of Honolulu; sisters, Shirley (Duane) Green of Texas, Edmae (Lane) Bryson of Idaho, and Violet McCorvey of Texas; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
