
“Usually, we'll go to Alfred Coffee on Melrose,” Veneda Carter says of her crisp early morning outings with her three-month-old daughter, Bobbi. “It's not far from our home, so I can walk down the quiet neighborhood streets with the stroller.”
Pillowy jackets by Kyiv-based label Ienki Ienki and elegant techwear by Canadian climbing brand Arc'teryx have become the backbone of the Danish-born stylist’s practical maternity-leave wardrobe, which is currently garnering cult status on Instagram (scroll for mom and baby sporting matching Timberlands and layers of synchronized swaddling quilting). The haute hiker look (think: roomy deadstock pants straight out of a Hype Williams video paired with spike-heeled lug-sole boots), known in social media parlance as ‘Veneda style,’ is a hit in her adopted hometown, where Carter counts Kim Kardashian and Kanye West as collaborators.
Inside the West Hollywood home she shares with husband Weston (who works for Supreme) and Bobbi, the stylist pays homage to her influences, from resin works by Japanese artist Tycho Koll (a friend of the couple) to vintage issues of Rolling Stone magazine.
