Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke have dealt with their fair share of relationship drama, as fans have seen recently during Season 6 of Summer House. Though Amanda had a blast with her Summer House roommates at her epic '90s-themed 30th birthday party in the February 7 episode, Kyle seemed to fall short when it came to getting a gift for his fiancé's special day.
In a first look at the February 14 episode of Summer House exclusive to Bravo Insider members, Kyle struggles to figure out ways to go all out for Amanda's milestone birthday. "I'm feeling pretty guilty, I'm feeling pretty horrible," Kyle reveals in an interview in the clip, above. "But today, like, her actual birthday, I'm going to try to make it up to her."
Recently, Amanda took to Instagram to share a series of fun photos from her 30th birthday party, and Kyle couldn't help but comment further on how he felt about his lack of a gift for the occasion.
"Finally getting to post these!! I don’t do big birthdays — I get overwhelmed and don’t love all the attention (believe it or don't, I don't care). So having something that felt like a party your parent(s) would throw for you as a kid — at home, with a few friends, singing along to all the 90’s & 00’s hits, and eating candy, snacks and McDonald’s — was exactly what I needed," Amanda wrote in the caption of her February 8 post, alongside captures from her party.
Amanda went on to add, "Shout out to my girls for the balloons, lava lamps, blow up chairs, cake and of course the pogo stick [Lindsay Hubbard]. And thank you to the crew for supporting my vision in so many ways and dressing up and celebrating with me. I love you all."
Kyle chimed in on the post about his lack of gifts for Amanda's special day, writing in the comments, "Retro birthdays should be fun. My gift giving skills — not fun."
