This is noteworthy because it’s approximately the fifth time this offseason Peterson has proclaimed his desire to return with the Vikings. At the Super Bowl, on his podcast, and to reporters — Peterson repeatedly affirms his desire to stay in Minnesota.
Wouldn’t you know it? The Vikings need cornerbacks — in a bad way. Cameron Dantzler is the only starting corner on the roster, so someone should listen to Peterson’s wishes.
Indeed, Adofo-Mensah must be mindful of the salary cap, but opposing offensive coordinators will be cognizant of an underwhelming CB group if Minnesota scrapes the bottom of the barrel for defensive secondary personnel.
Let it be known — once again — Patrick Peterson wants to play for the 2022 Minnesota Vikings.
