The move is noteworthy because the Vikings now need one or two more starting corners. Before Friday, Cameron Dantzler was the only viable CB1 or CB2 on the depth chart. Signing Sullivan points the team in the right direction of [hopefully] constructing a deep defense.

As a player comp — at least in terms of role — Sullivan should be considered “this year’s Mackensie Alexander” signing, perhaps nailing down the slot job for 2022.
