This one is neat merely because James Cook is the brother to Dalvin, and the two play the same position. Younger-brother-Cook has produced an impressive combine this week, translating to legitimized draft stock in April.

Most pundits foresee a 3rd-Round draft stock for James, as running backs are not quite as important in the NFL as they were a decade ago. Now, RB1s can be reasonably plucked out of the draft during the 3rd Round or later.

The Vikings do not need a running back in the draft — unless they do something funky like trade Dalvin before the event — as Dalvin, Alexander Mattison, and Kene Nwangwu currently fill out the depth chart.

However, if the roster changes at the RB spot between now and late April, restarting the clock on “a Cook” would be quite fun.

James Cook is 22. Dalvin Cook will be 27 this summer.
