“I’m not the same mother I was when I started,” Sister Dennis said. “[The Lord] teaches you along the way through your children. I realize now that I didn’t trust the Lord enough to lead them through that minefield of the teenage years. But I have since learned that He does it so much better than I ever could, if I just trust Him.”

“There is great strength in unity. I believe that is why the adversary is trying so hard to divide us. It’s the old military strategy of ‘divide and conquer.’ We need to wake up to what the enemy is trying to do. I invite all of us to unify together as sisters in Christ and as daughters of our Heavenly Father, letting all other labels fall away, so we can strengthen our homes and families and communities and not be blown down by the winds that will surely come.”

“Millions struggle with mental and emotional health challenges. One of the very difficult parts of these challenges is the stigma surrounding them and the harsh judgment by some that they are a character flaw or a sign of weakness or laziness. The effects of mental and emotional illness are just as real and just as devastating as a physical illness or injury, but the effects can be less outwardly apparent than a broken leg or cancer. The effects of mental and emotional illness can often make it hard for a person to function or find joy.”
