Priyanka Chopra Jonas has returned to the US after spending time with her family in India and has dived back into work, producing various projects through her production company, Purple Pebble Pictures. Her latest project is a documentary titled 'Born Hungry', in collaboration with popular filmmaker Barry Avrich.
The documentary, 'Born Hungry', tells the true story of a young Indian individual who runs away from home, is adopted by a Canadian family, and eventually becomes the chef-owner of a trendy restaurant in Toronto. Sash Simpson is now a celebrity chef who once lived on the streets of Chennai.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas announced the collaboration on Instagram, expressing her excitement about the project.
In an interview with Deadline, she spoke about her fascination with the story and her commitment to sharing stories from around the world through cinema. The documentary debuted at the 2024 Palm Springs International Film Festival and is scheduled for screening at the Hot Docs Film Festival in Toronto on April 26. Apart from 'Born Hungry', Priyanka Chopra Jonas is also backing numerous other documentary films.
