9-11 Moving Tribute
Clinton County Veterans Affairs and the local veterans group Vets+ will be out in force this Saturday as the Clinton County community remembers the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. This year’s annual 9-11 Moving Tribute will be based out of Triangle Park in downtown Lock Haven. The tribute involves volunteers — veterans and community members — keeping the American flag in motion to honor and remember the lives lost on 9-11-2001. The Moving Tribute begins just before daybreak with people walking and running with the flag(s) throughout downtown, and continues until 8:30 p.m.
Chicken BBQ
Dunnstown United Methodist Church is having a famous BBQ chicken dinner, complete with baked beans, macaroni salad, rolls and cake for $10. The food will be grilled by the Dunnstown Fire Company. It will be take-out only at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11. For tickets call 814-308-4748.
